One of my strongest impressions of Tobolsk was at night, at the entrance to the city. When we went home from Tobolk to Yekaterinburg by train, we went back too late in the evening, but we already knew where and when to look. We are going over the bridge over the Irtysh, we look around - here he is, handsome Kremlin - we will look at each other for farewell!

The weather in Tobolsk in November is capricious and wayward: on the night of our arrival it rained, and in the morning the frost struck, and the roads turned into a skating rink.
In the center, by the river, it is very windy, and therefore it is worth dressing in the cold season with a sufficient supply of heat!
I recommend to come to Tobolsk in spring or summer - there are many parks in the city, and on warm sunny days, I am sure it is very beautiful!
How do I get there?
In 2021, Remezov Airport was opened in Tobolsk, which is 28 km from the city center, the railway station is located 15 km from the center.
The air harbor of Tobolsk was named after the great Siberian historian and cartographer Semyon Remezov.
Unfortunately, in 2023 for the holidays in November, the cost of tickets Yekaterinburg - Tobolsk was 11 000 rubles one way (although on a direct flight to fly only 50 minutes). A flight of four would be golden! We didn’t take a plane, we took a train!

Where to live in Tobolsk?
It turns out that places in hotels in Tobolsk can suddenly run out, rooms costing from 2500 rubles and from 3000 rubles were not available already three weeks before our proposed trip to Tobolsk! There are only rooms for 5000 rubles a day (but this is not accurate).
What do I do? We book an apartment on a popular service! It turned out that this option is not the easiest - the best apartments in the center flew right out of hand: in the evening they are still available for booking, and in the morning they are no longer!
It seemed that the journey would end before it started, because the choice of housing options in Tobolsk is not endless.
Finally found an option - an apartment for 2500 rubles a day for four, to the historical center - 30 minutes by bus and an hour on foot. We have time to book accommodation in Tobolsk for two days, and you can breathe a sigh of relief!
Where to eat in Tobolsk?
In Tobolsk there are cafes and restaurants for every taste and purse - establishments for connoisseurs of "fast food" and lovers of eating with meaning and taste: the average check for one person will be from 500 rubles for lunch or dinner, - you will bring several types of tinctures (for example, horseradish).
On one of the days of our trip to Tobolsk, I wanted to eat very much, there was not much to choose from, and we had a snack in the budget monastery refectory, the menu had cakes with different fillings and various soups (the average check was around 300 rubles per person).
How to drive in Tobolsk?
In the center of Tobolsk is well developed public transport - anywhere in the city can be reached by bus or minibus. Bus schedule in Tobolsk is updated at all stops online. In 2023, the fare in buses Tobolsk - 25 rubles.
But if you come to Tobolsk at night by train (as we arrived), then getting to the destination will be quite difficult and expensive. We waited for a taxi in Tobolsk for about 40 minutes, and paid for a 10-minute trip is not economical 800 rubles! The taxi driver shared his observations: at night on a weekend there is always a lot of demand, and there were simply not enough cars.
On the way back to the station went on a budget bus.
