National dances

At all times, each nation has not only its own language, culture and traditions, but also its own national dances. Many of them have survived to this day, although their history goes deep into the past.

For example, Irish dance was first mentioned in the XI century. Then it was “long” dances (dancers became in two long lines, and standing opposite each other, performed movements) and “round” dances (dancers paired in a circle and depicted different figures). All the ancient Irish dances were performed with stepping stones and at a fast pace. It is known that the church did not approve of such dances and considered the movements of the hands vulgar, so the hands have since firmly fixed on the belt.

Today, Irish dance is very popular all over the world. Thousands of people come to dance schools to learn how to dance like an Irishman. There is also the Irish Dance World Championship, which is regularly held in Ireland.
Another equally interesting dance comes from Spain. Spanish dances are very passionate: the knocking of heels, a rose in the teeth, a flowing skirt and castanette shot - all this is certainly fascinating.

The most famous Spanish dance is flamenco. They are danced by the gypsies of southern Spain. Such dances are characterized by various tapping heels and socks, a significant role is given to the hands. Castanets are used by women, but rarely. Usually flamenco dances are performed to the guitar, shouts and claps of hands.

With its rhythm and emotionality, Spanish dances have found their fans all over the world.
If you ever get to the Brazilian Carnival, this spectacle will be remembered forever. Dancers in bright carnival costumes to incendiary music dance the famous Samba dance. This dance is dominated by rapid leg movements and hip vibration. Male dancers perform various acrobatic tricks. Flirting and fun, flirting with each other and indecent movements of the pelvis - without this samba loses its meaning.

Transferring from generation to generation the traditions of folk dances, people tried to preserve in them the moral principles of the people, the behavior of people in communication, culture and life. Changes in the norms of behavior and lifestyle led to a change in the nature and manner of dancing, new forms appeared. However, some traditions have remained unchanged: the main expressive means of dance is the plasticity of the human body accompanied by music.

No matter what language you speak, Russian, German or Italian, body language is a different way of communicating. If your partner does not understand you in their native language, maybe they will understand you in the language of dance.
