Republic of Dagestan It is one of the most rapidly developing and visited regions of our country, which does not cease to gain momentum. Already there is a real struggle for the provision of services from local residents.
In addition, you can visit these places from any corner of Russia, buying a tour from your local travel agencies, or come here on your own. Renting a car here will not be a problem either.
Having reached the last and without drawing up an action plan, almost before the flight, we stumble upon the guys from Gunib, from whom we buy a tour for 3 days, where it is already included: transfer, food, accommodation and of course excursions.
Gunib was the starting point for all our trips, its convenient location allowed us to leave and return to our previous place of residence every day, which was comfortable enough for us, no daily fees and transfers.
Let's go!
Day One: We're being greeted at the airport, WAIT, WAIT, on a white Lexus!? Nice start. We get acquainted with the driver, with our third passenger Tanya and immediately find a common language.
- You don't have to buckle in the back seat.
- You can't. Dad's gonna find out.
- Nah, Dad won't know.
- Ha, my dad knows everything.
After a couple of hours, I unzip because I completely forgot that I was nauseous.
If you have the same problems as me (intolerance of everything that moves: planes, fast riding, serpentine, altitude changes) in advance stock up on candy, gum or pills, otherwise you risk spoiling the impression of your vacation.
Do not fly on a bungee, but get stuck on a zip line, done

Day two: roll out from the table after a hearty breakfast and learn that today we are going to the village - the ghost of Gamsutl - a ghost village located at an altitude of about 1500 meters above sea level, where in 2015 the last resident died.
On the way, be sure to try unrealistically clean water from the spring. That's water, that's water!
A little later we dress up in folk costumes and take atmospheric photos. But this photo is not my favorite, and the topic of ethnicity is always welcome.
A good ending to the day was a trip to the Aivazovsky glade, where we spent the sunset for conversations and hot tea.
Day three: the most famous Sulak Canyon (for a moment - it is bigger than the Grand Canyon in the United States - be, be, be the Americans), the view from above, a trip on the water - a good booster for the final day.
After the fish dinner, it became a cannon for me, and that’s because I and the fish are two incompatibles (now I know it’s not).
With full bellies, they moved towards the Sarykum desert, where the White Sun of the Desert was filmed.
Day four: our wonderful all-inclusive tour has come to an end. 4 Days Ahead and No Plans
Guys, if you have foreign passports - check them in advance before traveling, because this is a great opportunity to visit neighboring countries (kill two birds with one stone).
However, we did not take advantage of this opportunity. Our neighbouring republics were at our disposal, which was no worse.
Just a few hours on the road and you feel like you're in another country. This is about the Chechen Republic and its capital Grozny.
During the day we visited 3 cities, three mosques, the local Arbat and the observation room of Grozny City. More recently, after fierce fighting in the early 2000s, these places were rebuilt and life began there like a clean slate.
The fifth day was dedicated to the sea, the Caspian Sea, in which I so dared not swim and move to the city of Kaspiysk.
A small life hack for savings: come here out of season (we were from March 27 to April 2), so you will buy a tour without cheating and spend your vacation not in the hellish heat, which will significantly complicate moving to the locations.
Guess who baked like a fried bird in the oven on the first day of vacation (you know the correct answer).
The sixth day is the seventh, and what do you think? These guys from Gunib are not as simple as they seem, we could not leave them for nothing and decided to ride in the second round.
What is it? Right! The Permians said that the Permians did: namely, Marina Vasilievna promised that we would return again, but no one expected that it would be in 2 days.
On the way to Derbent, the Lun, the Troll Language and other stunning sights of Dagestan, Marina Vasilievna and I, without stopping, sang the entire playlist of the early 2000s so that the guys from the front rows of our minibus took us for speakers, and, turning around, said that we have such a vibe, a fire just not enough.
And we had bonfires, too, during the day and at sunsets, with tea and local wine, heart-to-heart conversations and cute photos.
In summary, I can say that Dagestan has become a place that has impressed me. Kamchatka (but not outdo it).
Nature, centuries-old history, hospitality of local people who are ready to make you feel almost better than themselves, and most importantly, the lack of Moscow pontiffs (and they do not need them), color - all this will motivate you to stay in these places a little longer than a week.
