New York, New York!

The city of New York - one of the largest cities in the world (population with suburbs - 18.8 million), is located in the state of the same name, but is not its capital (the state capital - Albany).

It is rightly called the city of contrasts – in it you can meet people of different nationalities, social status, religion. Most importantly, this contrast organically fits into the style of architecture of the city.

So, modern skyscrapers made of metal and glass coexist with buildings of the XVIII century, built in the Gothic style, and with residential quarters built by the French. This neighborhood does not violate the harmony of the city, but on the contrary, once again proves that New York is proud of contrasts. This contrast smoothly flows to the residents and guests of the city – their lifestyle, behavior, clothes.

The official nickname of the city is “The Big Apple”. There is a logical explanation for this - the city positions itself as a full bowl of abundance, a place of opportunity, and everyone wants to get a share of this apple, as if biting off a piece of it.

New York is a city that never sleeps. That's true, too. You can watch the audience all day, it changes depending on the time of day. First it is business people in suits, hurrying to work or for breakfast in a cafe, closer to lunch they all go to the streets in restaurants for lunch, in the evening the crowd is diluted with tourists, youth, children coming from school. And late at night, all these people gather in Times Square, they, like butterflies in the dark, are attracted by the infinitely bright signs of shops, posters of musicals, cafes, bars. The whole crowd is mixing, making noise.

Walking at this time in the heart of Manhattan, you will not feel that it is already midnight – it seems that life is in full swing and the most fun is yet to come.

In the morning, everything is new again: in the morning, with people rushing on business, sometimes fog or cool wind from the Hudson Bay. The general impression is that the city is always moving somewhere, and actively.

If you went outside and have not yet decided which way to go, beware - people in a hurry somewhere will steal you away. The bright “crowd” is complemented by the horns of fire trucks, police sirens, the noise of the subway coming from under your feet through the ventilation grille (the subway in New York is often not deep), the voices of the guides “NYC Bus Tour”. It is also necessary to note the incessant noise of air conditioners - they do not subside even at night. I will not say that the noise is pressing, no, you get used to it, because it, again, harmoniously complements the overall appearance of the city, its dynamics.

If you are tired of such a variety of sounds and seen flashing pictures – go to Central Park. Located almost in the middle of Manhattan, it is like an oasis of peace, tranquility, peace and fresh air. You can wander into a quiet corner with weeping willows, ducks, carved bridges and even doubt that you are in the center of a city of 8,459,026 people.

Many times I have been to this city, but every time I learn something new about it: new places, restaurants with delicious bread or wine, cute cafes with branded New York cheesecake, shops with reduced prices on Sundays.

I love his contrasts and look forward to seeing the Big Apple again!
