Rest in Biarritz and travel to Provence.

A new beach season is on the nose and with those who are looking for new and non-trivial destinations, I want to share my impressions about the absolutely fabulous place that my husband and I discovered last year - Biarritz. We had been to the Lazurca before, but we wanted (a) a new one, (b) more peace and (c) less glamour. Well, since my husband recently became interested in surfing, we decided to go where, according to all descriptions, you can see the largest waves in Europe. Minus one - hard with direct flights. But we flew to Paris, from where the TGV train arrived to the shores of the Basque Country in 5.5 hours. It was possible to take a plane - the airport is there, it would be a little faster and a little more expensive. The first thing that struck me on the way to the hotel was the Orthodox Church! A little later we learned that from the end of the XIX century this resort on the Bay of Biscay was chosen by the Russian aristocracy, in whose footsteps we followed. The beaches here are amazing! Yes, the waves, yes, the water is cooler than in the Mediterranean, but otherwise - out of competition. While the faithful conquered the waves with the help of an instructor (and schools – a lot, as well as surfers!), I managed to cover myself with a bronze tan, soak myself in a completely chic center of thallasotherapy, buy a little and go to the chocolate museum, after which even those who do not like sweets will selflessly gawp their teeth into the tile. Local cuisine is a symbiosis of all the best that France and Spain offer. In general, the week seemed small and liked so much that they decided to return this summer, although they planned to ride in Provence. And here it was lucky to make a very useful discovery: shoveling the Internet in search of the sights of Provence, I foundtravel portalwhich includes planning and planningholidayIt also gives you the opportunity to explore the sights and independently plan the route! In general, now we are looking forward to the beginning of July, when we will first spend 5 days swinging on the waves of our beloved Biarritz, from where we have booked flights to Marseille. And in Marseille, we have already selected and booked a hotel and a route along which we intend to ride. A true Provencal tale awaits us, because it is at this time that lavender blooms there! We will visit Aix, who loved Cezanne and in Arles, where Van Gogh lived, in Nimes with its ancient amphitheater and a huge aqueduct. And I really want to go to Grass - they say that he smells of perfume and perfume factories there so much that it was called the perfume capital of the world! And, of course, Kamargu and the famous kalanks! While we are still adjusting our route, in which the discovered resource is very helpful. And with a competent approach, you can easily put in one two-week vacation absolutely amazing places, even located on different shores of France!
