The Open Soul of Tenerife
I threw a coin into the sea and I'm going to the Canary Islands! There are many beautiful places in the world, but for me there is no more beautiful Tenerife. Why? It's an island of eternal spring! I saw the harmony of place and person. The local climate is considered the most comfortable, neither cold nor hot. All year round.
There are people who care where they stay. It doesn't matter to me. I hold to the principle that the true hunter does not go for meat, but for impressions.
The Canary Islands is one of the most unusual and mysterious places. The beauty of the island of Tenerife is that it is based on a volcano. The Teide volcano is undoubtedly the most famous place on the island, in addition, it is the highest in the Atlantic Ocean. Watching the snow-covered peak of Teide is a special pleasure, which only emphasizes the uniqueness and originality of Tenerife. Many modern science fiction films were shot here. As I climbed to the top of the volcano, I was struck by the beauty of the view, which looks like a view from an airplane window.

Another feature of the island is that everything there is (except volcanic sand) was created by human hands. Beautiful ever-blooming plants! A drip irrigation system is organized throughout the island for irrigation of plants. It's all thought out. The plants are very beautiful and pleasing to the eye. I can't believe there was anything alive here, just a volcanic baby. And only some 60-70 years ago, people learned about the unique healing properties of volcanic sand and decided to make Tenerife a tourist zone.

Tenerife has many beaches, but one of the most famous is the beach with black sand on the shore of the town of Las Gigantos. The sand here was once volcanic lava. It has some healing properties, by analogy with mud. The beach is very cozy and clean. An interesting thing happened to me here. I was vacationing on the island with my family. Everyone was in a great mood. And when my dad and I once again started fooling around and dancing right on the beach, a beach cleaner noticed us. He turned and headed towards us, stood next to us and began to dance and laugh with us. I was very struck by this fact, from which I concluded that the people on this island are very good-natured, cheerful and open. Local residents are not in a hurry, their life goes on as usual, measured and comfortable. In comparison, you can cite the city of Pataya in Thailand, after visiting which I made absolutely opposite conclusions about the Thais. They seemed to me fussy and even a little aggressive people. On the streets of Pataya, a fight could be seen in broad daylight. Tourists could safely drop out of the bus (tuk-tuk) simply because he did not like the driver. And in general, in all disputes between tourists and locals, there is a rule that the local resident is always right. In the Canaries, tourists are very hospitable. And not just because tourism is their main business. The whole community is very friendly people.

But I was most impressed by Loro Park. This is one of the largest zoos in Europe, known primarily for the world’s largest collection of parrots (about 500 species, some species are no longer found in the wild). However, once here, you understand that parrots there are far from the most interesting, there is a unique collection of penguins, a huge collection of orchids, the world-famous show of dolphins, sea lions and orcas.

Tenerife has an exotic water park. And although the water park is no surprise now, this one, I assure you, will impress even the most sophisticated tourist. "" In addition to the many slides of various heights and all kinds of water attractions, above one of them at the height of the apartment ceiling, monster sharks swim alive above the glass roof. The breathtaking spectacle adds to this thrill ride.
The island is not large at all, only about 300 km along the perimeter. And, if desired, it can be rounded all in one day. But despite this, it is full of attractions. In one trip, I didn’t have time to go everywhere. Therefore, in this article I describe not all the charms of Tenerife, but only what I managed to see in 14 days. I know that I will return to the island of eternal spring. This island is a tourist business and the locals are doing their job really well! I want to come back here again and again!
