The sacrament of marriage

The family, like a mirror, reflects the character of the people. Each nation has its own family traditions and customs, which originated in the distant past, but are of great importance today and have remained almost unchanged.

Despite the fact that in 1946 Japan adopted a new constitution that provides for the equal status of men and women, many families have preserved the same tradition - the wife must obey the husband. There is even an expression called danson, johi, which means to respect a man and despise a woman. Women begin to realize this attitude to themselves since childhood. The girl feels that her father gives preference to her brothers. She is also an incomplete member of the family, as she will soon be married, and she will belong to another family. Having reached her adulthood, a young girl anxiously waits for her to be given to another family, where she will have to obey her mother-in-law. Until now, in many Japanese families, the wife refers to her husband as “you”, and he refers to her as “you”, thereby showing that she is lower than him. Divorces in Japanese families are rare, and mostly come from women. When a divorce, a woman does not receive anything from her husband, without having the necessary specialty, she risks being left without work, so if there are no close relatives nearby, divorce will be a much greater misfortune for her than a walking or unloved husband. Japanese society treats divorced women negatively, women’s freedom is only on paper.

In Egypt, all Muslim traditions are revered as nowhere else. The woman in Islam is a vicious creature, her whole being.
The essence is full of temptation. By law, women must cover their entire body and hair, only the hands, face and feet can be left uncovered.
From childhood, girls are taught how to please their husband, obey and fulfill all his desires. If a girl is very beautiful, but does not know how to lead a household, then she may not be taken as a wife, since a home is very important for a man.
Marriage is an important step for Egyptians because it is constancy and stability. After marriage, the family consists not only of a husband, wife and children, it also includes all relatives on the male line. The main thing in such a family is the oldest man and his wife, everyone else must obey them. All family members eat together, do business, and sometimes even work together. The position of the family in society is very important for Egyptians, they know that it is impossible to live without relatives and strong relationships.

As for Europe and America, the situation is quite different. A woman not only has the right to her opinion, but can also deprive her man of this right. Recently, the number of so-called women “careerists” has been increasing. Such women do not start a family until they have a career, for them independence from a man is important. Once the ground is solid enough, they begin to look for a husband who can stay at home with the children, while the wife will continue to earn money. Women often earn more than men, which is the main reason for divorce.
But there are couples in which understanding and love are two important components. The wife sits at home and raises children, and the husband earns a living. Such a family is typical in America, where most women are housewives. In Europe, for example, in Germany, husband and wife want to be equal. After the birth of the child, the wife does not stay at home for long. As soon as the child grows up and can do without a mother, he is hired a nanny, and the wife again begins to work.
Russia, meanwhile, adheres to a simple scheme - whoever has the money is the owner. Often money is the decisive factor in choosing a life partner. We still do not understand the full value and significance of marriage, and we continue to consider it a normal “cell of society”.
