In the Altai region will be held an international competition of ice figures
New winter tourist season in the Altai Territory will open with a holiday "Altai Wintering"According to the Tourist Center of the Altai Territory. One of the central events of the holiday is a competition of ice figures, which will be attended by representatives of more than 10 cities of Russia, as well as guests from Kazakhstan.
Ice figures created by leading masters of Russia will become one of the main decorations of the holiday. “I am very proud and glad that such an event is being held here in the Altai Territory,” said Alexander Parfenov, the author of ice sculptures, one of the organizers of the competition. Bright impressions and emotions are what drives the economy and develops tourism.
The main theme of the competition will be the image of the swan, family values, wildlife, as well as the theme of winter sports entertainment. Ice compositions will be placed on pre-prepared ice podiums, the height of the sculptures will exceed 2 meters without taking into account the podium. Already announced their participation in the competition masters from Salekhard, Yakutsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Cheboksary, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazakhstan, Biysk and Barnaul.
We invited masters from all over Russia, everyone I met at international championships held in different parts of the world. December is a very active time, all masters of ice sculptures are in demand in their regions, but they chose Altai, said Alexander Parfenov. It is also very important that the competition contains a serious educational element: many masters will come with students. In Russia, there are no special faculties that teach ice sculpture, so the transfer of personal experience at such events is an opportunity to prepare a shift.
The competition starts a few days before the Altai Winter Festival. Participants will work on the territory of the tourist and entertainment complex "Siberian farmstead". On December 13, the winners will be announced.
