Mindil Beach

Maria Liveris Dr, The Gardens NT 0820, Australia

Description:

Mindeel Beach is a cult place for Darwinians. There is a famous evening market here from May to April, where you can eat deliciously and buy a couple of interesting souvenirs.

Locals begin to arrive ashore at dusk. They are usually armed with tables, chairs, carpets and bedding. Entire families are placed right under the palm trees, and the first action of the traditional show begins - the contemplation of the sunset, when it, hot and fiery, quietly plunges into the sea waters.

And then comes the time of a real culinary holiday. In the air there are aromas of spicy noodles, fish fried on coals, some magical seasonings, pancakes and many more appetizing smells. More than 50 nationalities live in Darwin, and many of them are ready to introduce you to the cuisine of their homeland. Thai, Indonesian, Chinese and European cuisines are presented in the pavilions of the evening market. Do not deny yourself the pleasure of sitting on the shore to the fiery rhythms of local musicians, enjoying the taste of unusually cooked beef or light fruit salad. There is a cult of food on Mindeel Beach, here every cook is ready to prove that the cuisine of his homeland is the most delicious and original.

In memory of a visit to Mindil Beach, you can buy a cute handmade trinket or original jewelry, a bright umbrella or an item of national clothing.
