UNESCO World Heritage Park – Blue Mountains for 1 day
Description:
If you go to Sydney for a few days, it is a sin not to visit the famous picturesque Blue Mountains National Park, which is only 1.5 hours from the city center (and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site). The Blue Mountains are a large nature reserve that covers a huge area with mountains, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, villages, observation decks and other attractions. Here you can come a few days or spend a whole week in nature, but for a brief acquaintance it is quite enough and one day in the company of a good knowledgeable Russian guide, who will show you in one day all the best places, observation decks and waterfalls, accessible trails and the best views in the Blue Mountains.
Undoubtedly, you can come here on your own by train (after losing half a day on crossings), as well as on a large group English-language tour by bus with other unfamiliar foreign tourists (such tours are offered in many brochures) and it will even be slightly cheaper in terms of person, but such unique, rare in beauty and little-visited places that I can show you and my guide friends, you will not be able to see either yourself or on any group excursion to the Blue Mountains.
We can leave the hotel at a convenient time, whether it is early morning at 6:00 or 7:00 to get ahead of traffic and crowds of Chinese buses on the roads, or at a more comfortable time after breakfast, for example at 9:00 or 10:00 or later at will.
On the way, we will stop at one of the best small animal parks in Australia, where you can see and touch many Australian animals up close (touch the wombat), communicate with them tete-a-tete (stroke and take a picture with a koala), feed kangaroos and wallabies, see the most venomous snakes in the world, measure their growth with a tall emu bird, etc. We'll spend about 1 hour here.
Next, we will head directly to the Blue Mountains National Park and on the way make several stops in little-known points with stunning views of the valleys and high cliffs, where you will already feel the height and freedom. We will, of course, visit the most famous points of the Blue Mountains, the so-called Eco Point overlooking the “Three Sisters” and “Picturesque World” – a complex where the steepest railway in the world (but not long) is located, which descends through a cleft in a rock in a gorge; a funicular that rises from the depths of the forest from the foot of the cliffs to the very top with a view of the jungle below; and a suspended road stretching at an altitude of 300 meters between two cliffs in the Katubby which the waterfall moves over a transparent waterfall. If you have the desire, you can ride on these attractions and experience a rush of adrenaline.
But that's not what matters in the Blue Mountains. And most importantly, these are the little-known trails along which we will take you, the points that will show you, the observation decks where you will visit us and take unique photos. You can stand on the edge of the cliff and on the ancient ceremonial points of the Aborigines, take beautiful photos without crowds of tourists and groups of Chinese around. After all, the Blue Mountains are famous for their beauty, stunning views of ancient sand rocks and canyons, the mysterious blue haze of eucalyptus fumes, amazing healing air - it is for this that you need to go to the Blue Mountains. But on group tours it is impossible to see and get. That is why it is worth ordering an individual excursion to the Blue Mountains with a Russian guide to look not only at a couple of “promoted” views from postcards among a crowd of strangers, but to see the Blue Mountains with your own eyes, to remember this corner of nature in your own way, i.e. individually! After all, me and my guides will take you to places where almost no other tourists go, show such observation decks that are inaccessible to most, walk along paths unfamiliar to other tourists, tell you what the uniqueness and value of these places are - and this is where the real beauty of the Blue Mountains National Park will open to you, and you will understand why it is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
If you are interested in caves, then we can for a small surcharge extend this excursion and visit the famous Jenolan caves, which are located in the far part of the Blue Mountains. The journey here will take another hour one way, we will also see Blue Lake and Devil’s Arch, and you can visit one of the caves in a small English-speaking group (the tour lasts 1 hour, the cost of a standard tour to the cave from 40 USD / person), or join a slightly extreme “speleological” tour through narrow caves in special clothes, helmets and lanterns for “adventure lovers”. This is a safe non-standard tour through narrow cave passages underground and descending on ropes with an English-speaking guide (lasts 2 hours, the age of the participants is at least 10 years, 120 USD / person).
If desired, we will stop for lunch in a delicious and inexpensive cafe "for the locals" in the small village of Leura or in an excellent eminent restaurant Echoes overlooking the Jamieson Valley. After the tour, we will return to your hotel in Sydney or we can leave you at the restaurant, take you to the port to the cruise ship or elsewhere.
