Royal Botanical Gardens
1 Conservatorium Rd, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia
Description:
The Royal Botanical Garden allows you to escape from the bustle of the big city into a small emerald oasis of peace and quiet. It is located in the heart of the business district of Sydney and is surrounded by numerous skyscrapers, which gives the park a unique and slightly futuristic look.
The total area of the Royal Garden exceeds 30 hectares. It was created by the Australian government more than two centuries ago and was originally conceived to grow food crops. Contrary to wishes, the land was infertile. Thereafter, they began to collect and study plants from all over Australia.
Today, more than seven thousand different species of plants and trees grow on the territory of the Royal Botanical Garden.
