The Lord Nelson Brewery and Hotel
19 Kent Street, Millers Point NSW 2000, Australia
About the company:
To experience Sydney in all its diversity, of course, it is best to go for a walk around the city. One of the most interesting areas is the Rox area with numerous ancient hotels, bars, an observatory, the first piers and docks, with street artists and other attractions.
The oldest hotel in Sydney is the Lord Nelson Hotel. It opened its doors to visitors in 1842. The hotel is located in a three-storey Victorian mansion with a white facade. The walls are made of heavy blocks of sandstone, and prisoners took part in the construction as laborers.
However, many tourists are attracted not only by history. In addition to being an old building, the Lord Nelson Hotel occupies one of the oldest breweries in the city. There are several varieties of excellent beer, which is not often found even in Australia.
