No wonder more than 7 million tourists come here every year. Not seeing the 12 Apostles and driving down this road means not seeing one of Australia’s top attractions. Early in the morning we head towards the city of Geelong, which stands on the way to the Great Ocean Road. Here we will see the Russian Orthodox Church, built by local immigrants from Russia. We will also walk along the Geelong waterfront, famous for its rescue sculptures. Next, we go to Bells Beach, famous for its international surfing competitions, as well as its appearance in the film Point Break. You can take pictures at the memorial arch - from here the Great Ocean Road begins. From here we head to the colorful Cape Otway Lighthouse, built in 1848. For thousands of migrants sailing to Australia, this lighthouse, towering on a cliff, was the first species of “promised land” after months at sea. We will climb to the lighthouse, which opens a panorama of the junction of the Bass Strait and the Indian Ocean. From June to October, migratory whales can often be seen from here. We will also show you the secret bunker where the World War II radar was placed. Then we will stop in the eucalyptus forest, where you will have almost 100% chance to see wild koalas. Although it is not very easy to notice them from the first time, our guide will help you find these beautiful animals. From here we go to Erskine Falls, located in a rain forest among giant ferns and tall eucalyptuses. For lunch we will stop at a small local restaurant in the resort town of Lorne. After lunch, we will stop by Apollo Bay, where you will have the opportunity to walk along the magnificent sandy beach and even swim in the crystal clear waters. Next, we follow the Gibson Steps, enjoying the seascapes along the way and stopping at several viewing platforms for photographs. Going down the "Gibson Steps", you can see and photograph the famous rocks of the "Twelve Apostles" from the beach. After that, we go to the Twelve Apostles themselves, where you can walk along the long platform and enjoy the views of the 12 Apostles from different angles. Next, we will visit Loch Arch Gorge, carved by waves and wind for centuries, where you will learn about its history of shipwrecks. We will also visit the small port town of Campbell and see the remains of the London Bridge, which collapsed in 1990.
