Carrambin Reserve

Carrambin, Gold Coast, Australia

Description:

Karrambin Reserve is a huge park in which animals and birds live in conditions as close as possible to their natural habitat. The reserve was opened in 1947. Its founder was beekeeper Alex Griffiths, who was desperate to save his flower plantations from the invasion of loriquets.

Today, flocks of rainbow loriquets and other noble birds are the main reason for the popularity of the Karrambin Reserve. These bright birds fly to the park twice a day to eat specially left for them treats.

In addition to the huge number of parrots in the reserve Carrambin you can see flocks of dogs Dingo, Tasmanian devils, wombats, kangaroos and other inhabitants of the Australian land.
