Sensenmuseum Geyerhammer Museum

Grubbachstrae 10, Grunau im Almtal, Austria | Scharnstein

About the company:

In the Geyerhammer Museum, located in the open air, on a picturesque pasture, you can get acquainted with the history of the production of agricultural implements and learn more about the conditions of peasant labor of past centuries.

Thus, thanks to the establishment of Redtenbacher in 1875, there was a significant shift from the old artisanal methods of production to more technical and modern ones. Soon, a fairly large factory was already operating here.

In the exposition of the museum you can see such exhibits as a hydraulic-driven tank cleaner, heavy water wheels, powerful furnaces and other devices for working with steel and many other attributes of blacksmiths. Of particular interest is a large jackhammer.
