The history of Schloss-Wykersdorf Castle begins in 1233. For several eras, the castle belonged to various dynasties, the last of which bore the surname Doblhoff. During World War II, the castle was captured by Red Army soldiers, after whose departure Schloss-Wykersdorf fell into desolation. Only a few decades later the castle was converted into a hotel, which is still today.
