Arnulf Reiner Museum of Art

Josefsplatz 5, Baden, Austria

About the company:

The Arnulf Reiner Museum of Art is one of the most interesting museums in Baden, located in the Franz Bath. The museum presents the works of the famous Austrian painter.

Arnulf Rainer became famous for his works of various painting styles. Rainer is a recognized master of the XX century, who began as a surrealist, but later, namely, in 1954, he changed his style to abstractionism with a narcotic and underground bias.

According to art critics, the change in the style of Arnulf’s work was influenced by his slightly fanatical expectation of the end of the world, the atmosphere of depression and melancholy in which he was, as well as the consequences of the war that disturbed his psyche.

At the dawn of his creative career, the artist introduced mystical underwater themes into his works, creating drawings with a simple pencil. Subsequently, the master became interested in experiments, in his work appeared lithography, screenprinting (silkscreen) and a dry needle.
