Clock Tower on Mount Schlossberg
Schloßberg 3, 8010 Graz, Austria
Description:
One of the symbols of the city of Graz is the Clock Tower, the main attraction of which are clock hands, arranged in such a way that the clock shows a large hand, and the minutes are small. It should be noted that this Austrian landmark has not only an original dial, but also a clockwork that has been working smoothly for 300 years.
Also in the clock tower is one of the oldest bells in the country, dating from 1382. Near the tower there is a luxurious park where you can relax in the shade of broad-leaved trees. At the Clock Tower, a steep staircase begins, which overlooks the streets of Zrzes and Sporgasse. There is also a beautiful observation deck where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the city.
Every year, this place attracts the attention of many tourists who want to enjoy this unique building firsthand. The clock tower in the city of Graz from year to year shows the exact time and surprises guests and residents of the city with its unique mechanism. In 2015 it is planned to carry out restoration of the building.
