Schloss-Egenburg Castle

Eggenberger Allee 90, 8020 Graz, Austria

Description:

Schloss-Egenburg Castle is a magnificent structure located on Lake Grads. This is a beautiful place, covered with a mysterious halo of an ancient legend. It was here, near the shore, that a beautiful girl drowned. She quarreled with her lover and sailed into a storm to a depth where she could not cope with the waves. Her beloved Earl, blackened with grief, built Schloss-Egenburg Castle on this site.

For many centuries of its history, the castle changed hands several times. In 1657, the castle was completely burned down, after which it was restored for a very long time, and in 1670, Emperor Leopold I became its owner. In 1920, the palace became state property. More recently, in 1998, the city of Grads bought Schloss-Egenburg for itself.

Schloss-Egenburg is located on the territory of a huge park with neatly trimmed trees, shrubs and a wide variety of flowers. The castle is very popular with grooms and brides - it is here that they come to celebrate this celebration, having received unforgettable impressions for a lifetime. On the territory of the castle there is a huge hotel with cozy rooms, several restaurants with both European and Eastern cuisine.
