Herzog-Friedrich-Straß e, 21, Innsbruck, Austria
Description:
Innsbruck City Tower is located in the city center on the street Herzog-Friedrich-Strasse, near the famous House with the Golden Roof. The building was built in the middle of the XV century and since then has been repeatedly reconstructed. At the end of the XVI century, decorations in the spirit of the Renaissance appeared on the building.
Initially, a sharp spire adorned on the top, which was replaced by a dome in 1950. If you look at the city tower from the outside, you will get the impression that the cylindrical tower is wearing a cap from another high-rise, more elegant and beautiful.
Above the chimes there is an observation deck at an altitude of 30 meters. It offers amazing views of the city and the nature of Innsbruck. You can visit the site throughout the year.
