Swarovski Crystal Museum
Kristallweltenstrasse 1, Wattens, Austria
About the company:
In 1995, the artist Andre Hellerom created the Swarovski Crystal Museum, the foundation of which was timed to the centenary of the Swarovski company - the famous manufacturer of jewelry made of glass and crystal.
The museum is a uniquely beautiful place - the artist created 14 fabulous underground chambers, each of which is decorated with a special interpretation of crystals. Above the ground remained only the head of the giant, which acts as an entrance to the underworld of the museum. The eyes of the head are made of green stones, and water is constantly pouring out of his mouth.
The world famous museum is the second most visited in the country after Schönbrunn Palace, includes a restaurant, a large shop with Swarovski products, separate halls for collectors and special exhibitions.
Work on the design of the museum is constantly ongoing, which, of course, affects the number of visitors - up to 800 thousand guests a year.
