Innsbruck Airport
Description:
Innsbruck Airport is the largest international airport in the Tyrol region of western Austria. The airport is four kilometers from the city center of Innsbruck and carries about one million passengers a year.
Innsbruck Airport is located at the foot of the Alps, and its work is pronounced seasonal. In winter, this airport is overloaded - it serves the lion's share of tourists coming to Austrian ski resorts. However, in the summer, passenger traffic invariably decreases, and life in Innsbruck seems to freeze.
Innsbruck is considered a very difficult airport for civil aviation pilots - the proximity to the mountains generates strong winds here, especially in winter. However, there are no accidents at this airport. There is only one runway two kilometers long, and Innsbruck is not able to take the heaviest aircraft.
Getting to the airport is very easy - bus services depart from the city every fifteen minutes, and the entire road takes less than half an hour.
