Kufstein fortress

One of the ancient, historically important sites in the territory of Tyrol is a fortress, which is more than 800 years old - Festung Kufstein. This is the most favorite place of tourists, because here it is interesting not only for adults, but also for children. Therefore, entire families come to the fortress on an excursion.

The fortress rises above the city, on a rock, 90 meters high. It can be reached with the help of a funicular, and on the way to admire the most beautiful opening panorama. For lovers of hiking, a path along the covered stairs is provided.

For children, the tower itself is of particular interest: it is convenient to play the knights of the Middle Ages. On the territory of the tower there is the Kufstein Museum, which is located in the former barracks: there are finds made of bronze.
