About the company:
Ö sterreichisches Filmmuseum is an Austrian film museum located in Vienna. The museum was founded in 1964, but is very popular to this day, thanks to the fascinating program. A year later, in 1965, the Museum became a member of the International Federation of Film Archives.
The founders of the museum are P. Kubelka and P. Konlechner, who created it to study and preserve the masterpieces of cinema, known all over the world.
The history of the museum is inextricably linked with the cinema of Russia and the countries of the USSR, since the creators were fond of the fashionable avant-garde. The museum gained fame due to the successful creation of programs that included retrospectives of American classics, German cinema, Japanese films and Soviet tapes broadcast in the cinema at the museum.
The Museum is headed by President Martin Scorsese. "Filmmuseum" stores about 25.5 thousand films of different genres as treasures: these are Edinson's paintings, Soviet wartime films - 1918-1945.
Since 2002, the museum has carried out technical equipment: updated sound and video systems that support the modern level of sound and make it possible to play films of any formats.
