Museum of Applied Arts

5 Stubenring, Vienna, Austria

About the company:

The Museum of Applied Art is located in Innerstadt, a district of Vienna. On the first floor of the museum there is an exposition of the Middle Ages. This hall was designed by German artist Günger Forg. Another hall, which was created in the spirit of American minimalism, was occupied by Donald Judd.

In the museum you can see collections of furniture, porcelain, glass, textiles. A strong impression on tourists make models of architectural bureaus, these are incredible ideas of architects. It is interesting, for example, that the technically equipped kitchen, which in 1926 seemed fantastic, today is the reality of our everyday life.

The Museum of Applied Art appeared in 1872 thanks to the patron Rudolf Aitelberger. He saw a similar establishment in London and wanted to open one in Vienna. He realized his dream.
