Salzburg. The city where one of the most talented musicians of mankind was born – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Description:
Perhaps this alone would be enough to make Salzburg one of the most popular tourist centers in the world.
The house-museum of the brilliant Austrian composer, Mozart Square and the monument to the musician are an integral part of each excursion. However, it is not only the work of the great Mozart that attracts millions of people from all over the world to this city every year. There really is something to see here. Your acquaintance with Salzburg will begin with the Mirabel Palace and Park Ensemble, with its open-air theater surrounded by a hedge and a garden of dwarves, and, of course, with the woman who created all this beauty.
Our route will pass through the old part of the city. In 1997, the entire old center of Salzburg was included by UNESCO in the list of world cultural heritage, and you literally feel its charm from the first steps. Getraidegasse is the oldest shopping street, decorated with heraldic signs, Residenzplatz, located on it the largest fountain in the Baroque style, the Cathedral, and, of course, the fortress of Hohensalzburg, built in 1077 by Prince Archbishop Gebhard and expanded to enormous sizes by Prince Archbishop Leonhard von Koichach.
