The Franciscan Church in Salzburg is second only to the Cathedral of Salzburg. In architectural terms, it is a Gothic building with elements of Baroque and Romanesque styles. In the exterior decoration, muted gray shades prevail. Light streams pouring from the windows allow you to see the majestic star vault, wall paintings.

The altar was decorated by Johann Fischer von Erlach in 1495-1498. Its main decorations are the figures of the Virgin with the Child Jesus, as well as the statues of St. Rupert and St. Virgil.
