Description:
Obertrumer See is the largest of the three lakes of the Trumer group located in Salzburg. Its area is 4.9 square kilometers. It is located in the northernmost part of the city, at an altitude of 503 meters above sea level. The depth of the reservoir is 36.3 meters. The water is crystal clear and ideal for swimming or surfing. There are sandy beaches on the shore, which makes the rest even more pleasant.
There are several hiking trails near the lake, the most interesting of which is the Via Nova. It is designed for experienced travelers, as the trail goes through rather difficult parts of the forest, located on hilly terrain. Obertrumer See is connected to the two nearest lakes by small ducts. Due to this, a cruise boat runs between the water bodies, on which you can ride for a small fee.
A variety of water sports are very popular here. The most popular are windsurfing, sailing and sports swimming. This lake is very popular among locals who like to spend their weekends here. The infrastructure around the pond is not very well developed, so it is better to bring food and water.
