Zammer Lochputz Gorge
Description:
Zammer Lochputz is an interesting gorge with waterfalls and fountains beating from the ground, located not far from the city of Landek. The gorge used to be called Zams.
Once horse-drawn carriages took visitors at the entrance to the gorge. To climb themselves, people needed ropes and great courage.
Nowadays, everyone can easily walk to the water, starting with the powerful Zams plant, one of the oldest power plants in the Tyrole.
The trail passes the bridge and goes to the abandoned forge, which is also the subject of legend.
Zammer Lochputz Gorge is open daily from early summer to late autumn. It is worth highlighting night walks through the illuminated gorge in the middle of summer! At the entrance to the gorge, for a small fee, you are provided with helmets for protection.
