Burgmusem Historical Museum

The Hohensalzburg Fortress in Salzburg houses the Burgmuseum Historical Museum. Its main theme is the Middle Ages. Expositions illustrate different periods of the history of this area. As exhibits are real knightly armor, household items, works of art, instruments of torture in the dungeons of the castle and much more. But the main exhibit is the castle itself. During a visit to the museum, pay attention to the walls in which the original masonry is preserved.

The halls of the museum replace each other, gradually moving from the Middle Ages to the present. The pride of the museum is a collection of military uniforms and firearms, as well as a rare collection of paintings of the XVIII century.
