Bachschmiede Museum
Jakob-Lechnerweg 4, Wals, Austria
About the company:
Bachschmiede is a former forge built in the XVI century. Nowadays it is a local history museum of the small province of Valls. The collections of the museum are diverse, they are divided by themes and are located in different halls.
The exclusive collection of toys of the XIX-XX centuries reflects the history of the whole industry in the field of toy fishing. No less impressive is the copy of the mosaic of Theseus, the original of which is located in Vienna. In the next hall you will see in miniature the Roman Villa Rustica. Moreover, it is in the Bachschmiede Museum that you will see mintings with a 2000-year history.
And, of course, since the building was formerly a forge, the museum features the full collection of Ebner family horseshoes. It should be noted that Bachschmiede is not only a museum, but also an art gallery, where exhibitions of contemporary artists are constantly held. Theatrical performances and musical concerts are also held here.
