St. Oswald Church
Austria, Tirol, Seefeld, osterreich, Maximilianweg, 29
Description:
In the heart of the Austrian resort town of Seefeld stands a parish church built in honor of the Scottish King St. Oswald.
In the historical chronicle, the first mention of it dates back to 1263, but the church became fully known after the Eucharistic miracle that occurred in it during the Mass in 1384. Due to the increase in the number of pilgrims, the church was enlarged by Duke Frederick in 1425.
Near the church is the chapel of the Holy Blood, which contains an ancient book containing a description of the above-mentioned Eucharistic miracle.
