Day of Workers of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan

Information technology is one of the priorities of the country’s developmentAccording to the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev of December 02, 2006, in connection with the 125th anniversary of the establishment of telephone communication in the Republic of Azerbaijan, from now on every year, on December 6, it will be celebrated as the Professional Holiday of employees of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Republic of Azerbaijan is engaged in targeted communication activities, and the field of information technology has become one of the priorities of the country's development.

Approved by Decree No. 1146 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 17, 2003, “National Strategy on Information and Communication Technologies for the Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2003)-2012” determined the general direction of work planned for the next 10 years.
