Teacher's Day

Teacher’s Day is celebrated in Azerbaijan on the first Sunday of October.
In many schools, this day is considered to be Teacher’s Day, and not a holiday of the whole school: teachers come dressed, receive congratulations, flowers, and have tea in the evening. Children do not feel this holiday as their own. Even in very good schools, where there is a real friendship between adults and children, the teaching staff often forgets about the great educational opportunities of the holiday: the formation of love for their school, interest in the teaching profession.
And on this day, it is desirable to give the initiative in holding the holiday to the children - the design of the school, the release of a special wall newspaper, the preparation of a concert, treats prepared independently.
Children and graduates of the school will be able to pay special attention to old teachers who have retired.
It would be good if the students themselves made “medals” and handed them to each teacher with inscriptions corresponding to merit: “For patience”, “For maternal care”, “For justice”, “For moral support”, “For optimism”, “For cheerful disposition”, “For kindness”, “For the ability to lead an interesting lesson”, “For extraordinary thinking”, “For rigor”, “For unselfishness”, etc. It's up to the guys to decide. The main thing is not to offend anyone. After all, even a cardboard medal is a reward, not a way to settle scores with an unloved teacher.
If you decide on this day to entrust high school students to conduct lessons in junior grades, most teachers will be able to sit quietly and cheerfully in the teacher’s room at the set tables and try the cooking products of their students.
In high school, children can hold talks about outstanding teachers: Pestalozzi, Ushinsky, Leo Tolstoy, Sukhomlinsky, Janusz Korczak, etc. Of course, such conversations are prepared in advance, and the school librarian plays an important role in the preparation, who will select the necessary literature in advance and advise the speakers.
On the school radio, you can hold a concert on request, knowing in advance from each teacher his poetic and musical preferences.
You can do it differently: in one of the rooms, arrange a musical and literary living room, where your favorite records and audio cassettes will be selected. Of course, the entrance to the living room will be open to students, but applications on this day will be accepted only from teachers.
