Baku

The Fire Temple is a place of worship for Zoroastrians and fire worshippers

Description:

A trip from Baku to the suburbs, to the settlement of Surakhany, where one of the earliest temples of fire worship and the religion of Zoroastrianism - Ateshgah is located. This sanctuary was erected before our era in places where natural gas reaches the surface of the earth and its spontaneous combustion.
The fire temple "Ateshchgah" from ancient times was the center of fire worship on the Absheron Peninsula, and in general throughout the Caucasus. The temple is located near the city, in the oil settlement of Surakhany, about 20 km from the center of Baku. This is a real temple-museum. At the beginning of the 8th century, with the arrival of the Arab Caliphate, the temple was partially destroyed, and the Zoroastrians and fire worshipers left these places. However, in the 17th century, trade, cultural and diplomatic relations between East and West expanded along the Great Silk Road, and in 1713 a sanctuary of Zoroastrians and fire worshippers was again erected on the ruins of this ancient temple. Zoroaster, the name of the world’s first oil tanker, was given by the Nobel brothers in honor of the founder of the Zoroastrian religion. This tour will certainly please my guests. The cost is indicated for the number of tourists up to 3 people; If there are more people, then the cost is contractual. By the way, this tour is advisable to combine with a trip to the natural attraction of the burning mountain "Yanardag". During the trip, I also conduct a review auto-excursion;
