Baku Night Lights

Baku is beautiful at any time of the day, but in the evening and at night, when the evening illumination of buildings lights up, it justifies the title of the capital of the Land of Lights and looks simply amazing. We begin our car and walking tour from the observation deck of the Mountain Park. It is located in one of the highest parts of Baku, so from there we can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the night city. Lights encircle the Baku Bay like a precious necklace of sparkling stones!

Further, going down on the funicular in a trailer with panoramic windows or by car, at your request, to the embankment, we can walk along the National Seaside Park, which in 2009 turned 100 years old. Walking, we will get acquainted with its main attractions - Little Venice, the center of Mugham, we will see the new building of the Carpet Museum. This is a favorite place for walks of citizens and guests of our hospitable city, especially on hot summer evenings, when the life-giving coolness of the Caspian Sea blows here. By the way, there are many cafes and tea rooms where you can relax and drink aromatic Azerbaijani tea with delicious jam and national sweets. Enjoying the opening view and taste of tea, you will admire the play of the fires of the famous Flame Towers, whose animation is recognized as the best in the world, according to a survey by an influential forum on urban studies. The shape of the towers in the form of flames, according to the author of the project Barry Hughes, was inspired by the history of Baku as an ancient center of fire worship.

We can continue our walk, heading to Fountain Square, where shops and cafes are concentrated, in which local youth and guests of the capital like to hang out. From there we will go to Nizami Street, popularly known as the Merchant Street, on both sides of which there are mansions of local oil magnates of the 19-20 centuries and buildings of a later period and decorated with shining luxurious crystal chandeliers.
