Description:

Preface.

Mardakian is an interesting tale. You never know what's ahead of you, but I'm sure it'll end well. We will go to a small village located near Baku. This is a real paradise, where at one time the Russian poet Yesenin found peace of mind.

Every year thousands of ordinary people come here to feel the magical power of local shrines, breathe in the cleanest air, wander under the crowns of relict trees and recharge their vital energy.

A walk through Yesenin places.

Our tour will begin with a visit to the dacha of a large Baku oil producer Murtuza Mukhtarov. The millionaire was a philanthropist and innovator, so he built the villa in the best traditions of the garden architecture of the Middle East. After his tragic death in 1920, the Mardakyan arboretum was discovered in this territory. Here grow relict trees, exotic plants imported from around the world, there is a small zoo, where children love to go.

We will visit the house-museum of Yesenin.

The poet wanted to go to Persia, but the way there was closed for him. Friends brought him to Mardakyan, to which he immediately attached everything to his soul. Here he wrote several of his famous poems.

Immersion in history.

Azerbaijanis consider caring for holy places their duty. That is why the shrine of Pir Hasan has been turned into a cozy park. On the territory of the park complex there is a burial, dated to the XVI century, there is a mausoleum of the famous philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev, an altar and a place for ritual ablution. They come here to worship the memory of the saints, to rest their souls. In the people there is a belief that a visit to the sanctuary relieves from mental torment, cures fear and damage. I'm going to tell you about the wonderful history of this place, and the people who rest here.

Visiting an Azerbaijani healer.

The fame of the Azerbaijani healer Mir Movsum-ag survived him for several centuries. He healed hundreds of sick people, never paying attention to whether a man was poor or rich or what faith he was. For his unselfishness and miraculous power Mir Movsum-aga has earned national love and reverence. On the day of his death in 1950, the whole country bowed its heads in mourning. At the burial site of the healer, a very beautiful, majestic mosque was built exclusively for the money of parishioners. For cladding and interior decoration, “noble” materials were chosen: marble, ceramics, mirror mosaics. It fascinates with its luxurious decoration and positive energy. During her visit, I will tell some amazing stories about how suddenly the power of this man appeared, for what actions his name forever entered the history of the country. You will learn the techniques of the ancient healers of Chapcha, see how the ancient ritual of Childag is carried out, which relieves diseases and stresses.

The secrets of the old fortress.

Just imagine, the fortress, built in 1187, has survived to this day. Visiting Mardakyan Castle, you will learn a lot of interesting information about the heroic history of this building. It was built for defensive purposes, has an unusual quadrangular shape for the architecture of the East. Walking in the courtyard, surrounded by high walls, comes a feeling of complete peace and security. Surely this is how the women and children who hid behind these walls during the medieval wars felt. During the tour, I will tell you about what secrets the Mardakyan Castle hides, how the people who remained in it managed to hold a siege for months.

On unknown paths.

The place we will visit at the end of the tour, few people know. Only the old villagers know about him. I will show you a cave in which the camp of the famous rebel and people's protector Stepan Razin was located. There are many stories and stories associated with this place, but decide for yourself how true they are.
