Description:
The nature of Goygol resort in Azerbaijan is magnificent. The landscapes of the area and the lake surprise with its beauty. Goygol Mountain Lake is located at the foot of Mount Kyapaz, in the gorge of the Agsu River. It was formed as a result of an earthquake (1138), as a result of which the top of Mount Kapaz collapsed into the gorge of the Agsu River. The resulting dam is Lake Goygol. Its average depth is about 30 meters, the maximum is 96 meters. Goygol Lake is the cleanest among the mountain water reservoirs of the Caucasus.
In the vicinity of the Goygol resort in Azerbaijan there is a large burial mound cemetery of the Bronze Age, studied since the 90s of the XIX century. In the burials there are many bronze weapons (swords, daggers, axes) and jewelry (temporal rings, bracelets, pendants), as well as pottery black dishes with geometric ornaments and tools, etc.
