Description:

Prospect Oilers accommodates buildings of a diverse nature: two-storey and multi-storey houses, residential and public buildings. Previously, the avenue was called Alexander II Embankment, Gubanov Embankment, and Stalin Avenue. The prospectus received its current name in 1961.

On the avenue you can see such remarkable buildings as the office of the State Oil Fund, the Maiden Tower, the Shaig puppet theater, the museum center, the Government House, the Baku port and other buildings. The maiden tower with a colorful and laconic cylinder can be seen among two monumental residential buildings built on the avenue.

Prospect length of about 600 meters in addition to residential buildings accommodates many small shops. That is why this narrow street with shops was called “Bazarna”. Previously, it was traded by Iranian merchants who were engaged in wholesale trade in dried fruits.
