Medieval tower castle in the village of Ramana
Description:
The medieval quadrangular tower, which is located in the village of Ramana, was built in the XIV century. The height of the four-tiered structure is 15 meters.
The exact date of construction of the tower of white stone is unknown. It is believed that it was built for defense purposes and was used as the residence of the rulers of the Shirvanshahs.
Two stairs lead to the tower walls. It is possible to climb a spiral staircase from the inside of the tower into a corridor built approximately 3 metres outside the tower. Other stone stairs approach the top of the building from the garden. On these stairs you can climb to the tower and see the village from it.
The tower, built in Ramana, is located on the rocks. The tower’s strong walls are a natural extension of the rocky slopes. There are arches in the east wall of the tower.
