Gabala Airport
Description:
Gabala Airport, located in the north of the country, was opened in 2011. The length of its asphalt runway is 3,600 meters. After joining the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the airport became an international airport.
At this airport can arrive not only any aircraft, but also heavy cargo aircraft. All this is achieved thanks to a large runway. Since the airport is still new, only two flights to Baku and Moscow are organized there.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the airport and expressed his faith in the future of the airport, as well as in the fact that it will soon replenish its flights with new international flights.
