Museum of Modern Art in Antwerp

Leuvenstraat 32

About the company:

The Antwerp Museum of Modern Art is housed in a huge building that was used as a silos granary and port warehouse in the 1920s. It was later reconstructed. After the completion of work, several non-standard rooms appeared in the building, perfectly suitable for the location of original exhibits in them.

The museum opened in 1987 and today it houses more than a thousand avant-garde works created by artists and sculptors from around the world. A special place in the exhibition is occupied by the works of Belgian masters, who are considered innovators. These include Henry van Herwegen (better known as Panamarenko), Luke Tuymans, Jean Fabre, Wim Delvoe. The works of these masters are evaluated by critics ambiguously, but certainly deserve the attention of connoisseurs of modern art.
