Park Beervelde

Beervelde Dorp 75, Lochristi, Belgium

Description:

Beervelde Park was founded in 1873 just a few kilometers from the city of Ghent in Belgium. It was conceived as a platform for demonstrations of the fruits of young gardening. The owners are a noble count family in Belgium de Kerschow de Denterghem.

The park is made in the best English traditions. There are quite a lot of landscapes, exquisite and romantic. For example, it is interesting to visit the forest park zone during the flowering period of bulbous plants. In the spring.

There are three buildings on the territory. The main thing is a villa built on the territory of the castle. It, unfortunately, had to be lost due to its large size and inability to fully use. But now the villa perfectly fits into the created landscape and emphasizes the beauty of the park. The owners live here during their stay.

The second building is outbuildings in the form of workshops. And the third building is a small pavilion, complementing the landscape by the lake.

Maintaining the park is quite expensive, but the owners do not want to let tourists here. Therefore, in order to get at least some money, exhibitions and fairs are arranged in the territory of the Beervelde Park.
