Pieta Bekart Garden

Belgium, Ghent

Description:

Piet Bekart's garden reflects genius, creative fanaticism and just a great person - Piet Berkat. Born in 1939 in Holland, he began to show special abilities as a teenager. The garden surrounds the house, which was personally designed by the owner for his family. Thanks to panoramic glazing, the garden and the house are a single whole.

In the garden, there are mainly yews and boxes. They complement simple plants, making the landscape exquisite and noble. In the landscape, everything is dosed, but at the same time the greens smoothly flow one into one, representing individual compositions. Sunlight, penetrating the tracks, gives power, texture and shape, connecting individual elements into landscape forms.

Close to the house is a square pond, looking at which it seems that the house is on the water. Around grow boxwood balls, diluted with lilyniki bushes, thickets of peltiphyllum, which in the autumn becomes painted in red tones, giving the water a shade.

Visiting the garden of Pieta Bekarta, everyone finds something special, not seen before.
