Steyen Stadium
Description:
Steyen Stadium, located in the Belgian city of St. Truyden, was built in 1927. It is the home stadium of the football club St. Truyden, which previously hosted its rivals in other stadiums - Tongersistenweg and Tinsistenweg.
During World War II, the stadium was completely destroyed. It was restored in 1949, but the capacity was only 600 spectators. The reconstruction of the stadium with an increase in capacity to 11,337 seats was carried out after the St. Truyden football club entered the top Belgian division Staaienveld Stadium. These days, Steyen Stadium only hosts football matches.
