Thesdre River
Description:
The Thesdre River is a river about 70 kilometers long, flowing through the territory of two countries: Germany and Belgium. It carries its waters into the German river Luttich, and its source, located a few kilometers from the city of Liege, is the Belgian river Urt.
The Thesdre River enters the basin of a large river Meuse. It flows through the artificial lake De la Vezdre in eastern Belgium, and then through the cities of Vervier, Eupin and Pepinster. Due to the high acidity of the water, the river has long been used by textile enterprises of the region. Today, the waters of the Fiesdre River are used as drinking water in the cities of Belgium that stand on it.
