Description:
The Jeker River is a 54-kilometer long river that flows through two countries: Belgium and the Netherlands. It carries its waters into the Meuse River in the Netherlands, and its source is a small spring near the Belgian village of Gir.
Most of the river flows through Belgium - 50 kilometers. It is home to the old Belgian cities of Tongeren, Varem and Caen. The banks of the Jeker River are a wonderful recreational area. Every spring and autumn, fans of river rafting gather here. Some parts of the river are dangerous due to the low water level in this area.
