Waterloo tour. The last battle of the Emperor.
Description:
Waterloo - an unknown village 15 km south of Brussels, overnight became a symbol of the victory of the European monarchy over the "Corsican monster", former Emperor Napoleon I. The Battle of Waterloo turned the way of Europe and ended Napoleon's military and political career.
Modern historians believe that Napoleon could easily defeat the Seventh (already the Seventh!) coalition of European monarchs, who for 20 years fought against revolutionary France. What prevented him? Who interrupted him? Didn't help?
A tour of the site of the last battle of Napoleon will provide answers to these and many other pressing questions about the modern European state system.
The excursion program includes:
Visit the site of the last battle of Napoleon, the battlefield, which has remained unchanged since June 18, 1815, and which annually arranges the reconstruction of this grand event.
View of the new interactive Memorial of 1815, opened in May 2015 at a depth of 10 meters at the base of the mound Leo, colorfully describing the history of revolutionary France and its heroes
Viewing a 4D film about the Battle in a new panoramic cinema
- climbing the mound of the Lion, from a 40-meter height of which overlooks the battlefield, monuments to the participants of the battle, the observation posts of Napoleon and Wellington, the farms that turned on June 18 into places of fierce battles,
