Joseph Schneider Museum Gallery
466 Queen St South, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
About the company:
The Joseph Schneider House is located in downtown Kitchener and is now a museum and gallery.
The famous mansion, formerly a farmhouse, was built by one of the first settlers in the area, Joseph Schneider. The house is a local landmark and one of the ancient residential complexes. In 1816 it was restored and furnished with the best furniture of the time, and since 1981 the doors of the Museum of Living History have been open to visitors.
The Joseph Schneider House Museum houses collections of German-Canadian folk art that will be of interest not only to adults but also to children. Near the museum mansion are exhibition pavilions, administrative center, library and souvenir shops. Joseph Schneider Haus runs Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.
