Church of St. Peace-bearing women
heinola Boulevard, Baranovichi, Belarus
Description:
The Church of St. Myrrhbearers was built in 2007 on the site of the church of Alexander Nevsky destroyed in 1947. The temple is located in the heart of the city on Heinola Boulevard. It is in this temple that the memory of soldiers and officers who died in Afghanistan is immortalized. The convenient location of the temple attracts not only local residents, but also tourists who come to this town.
The church itself is small, but on holidays and Sundays there is no push. However, on other days, when there are few people, it is possible to meditate on the subtleties of life in a quiet and almost chamber atmosphere and pray for the good of the Lord. The situation in the church is very conducive to solitude and to thinking about both worldly and spiritual problems.
The parish supports active social activities. Here not only services are performed, but also active work is carried out with the population, the rectors actively cooperate with the local registry office, enterprises, law enforcement and public organizations and conduct active educational activities. The Sunday school at the temple attracts the interest of not only children, but also adults, and in summer an Orthodox camp is open for children. Every year pilgrimage missions are sent to holy places.
